How to get a massage you'll love...

Communicate. We get it – you don’t want to cause a problem, so you bite your tongue about your therapist’s chatter, the music, the temperature, the pressure, the technique. But therapists want your feedback and direction. They much prefer it to guessing what your preferences are.

Deep Tissue vs. Relaxation

Deep Tissue vs. Relaxation

Feel free to remind your therapist if you like deep tissue massage, relaxation massage (just as therapeutic) or a mix of the two styles. All of our therapists can significantly change depth & intensity if they clearly understand which style you prefer.

Deep Tissue Therapeutic Massage

Deep tissue massage therapy techniques that focus on realigning much deeper layers of muscles. Massage therapists may use fingertips, knuckles, hands, elbows, and forearms during the deep tissue massage. The pressure is generally stronger than a regular massage. The strokes may be slower.  You may be asked to breathe deeply as the massage therapist works on certain tense areas.  Some work on the body may feel uncomfortable, but discomfort is different than pain. Pain is an indicator that you have gone past your limits.
